What is the real sound of the street? Inspired by Christian Marclay's Guitar Drag and his later Record Without a Cover, Loz Colbert began dragging a luggage bag across America, and in 2019 made field recordings of the experience. The effect is one of dragging a stylus across record grooves. The street surface is a record of the past and present. We can interact with the city by playing the record of the streets while walking and dragging.
